Another Wiper Blade ?
i've just bought some goodyear flat wiper blades which after 1 week keep working their way off the wiper arm.
so i'm going back to standard bosch blades but have a question before i buy a new set.
has any1 ever fitted a wiper blade with a wing on the passangers side ?
and what is the wing for on the blade ?
i've only ever seen winged blades on the drivers side
euro car parts sell bosch 22" & 24" winged blades for £7.68 each .

Re: Another Wiper Blade ?
its to keep the wiper firmly on the screen at speed. its only on drivers side cos that is the biggest blade and most important

Re: Another Wiper Blade ?
Ihad a pair of flat wipers on mine,
they were cool ithought,
on fast speed one day in the rain one came off like a Rocket idont know where it ended up maybe some where still on the motorway,
Lukily istoped the wipers in time before it destroyed my screen,
ive got one flat blade still on and another with the fin on,
ithink the fin is for shifting snow,
Iwouidnt bother with the Aero wipers there not a good fit,
this is the 2nd time if ive had problems with these
stay with Standard blades unless the clip part is a Good fit or theyl just come off,
and you can end up scratching or cracking your screen !

Re: Another Wiper Blade ?
just ordered 2 new bosch standard blades and i'm gonna stick with these now. 2 sets of aero flat ones in past 4 months and they are totally crap.
got a wing one for drivers side and non wing one for passangers side. total price £14 odd free delivery.
just got a set of wiper blade arms off omega as mine are bent as hell . so gonna colour code them properly and then put the new blades on the colour coded arms

Thats not a bad price,
ipaid £15 for 2 but there desighned for the 406 ,
best thing you can do is Avoid the Aero blades unless the proper peugeot ones
ive been looking at the ones on the 407s thems might be a good Soloution thats if theyd fit 406,
Iwill pinch one from Scrapyard to use a Guinea pig me thinks

Re: Another Wiper Blade ?
ye mate. the new ones as well as my old ones are all peeling and flaking. so will give them a coat of paint but diablo red instead of black
thats after i soak them first in paint stripper to get the new arms back to bare metal

I know its always different strokes for different folks but I think that might look good in your head but I think it would totally ruin the look of the car as well as being distracting!!

Re: Another Wiper Blade ?
i dont find how it can be distracting . red or black wiper arms
whats the difference. they need re-coating anyway so may as well do it in red.

The Red will make them Stand out A bit .. agreed,
but the chances are they might look good in red,
