To be honest

The 90bhp wasn't as slow as I thought it would be.

Not compared to a Citroen ZX n/a XUD 1.9D.

It had a good pull in 3rd gear, but you wouldnt be winning any traffic light duels.

Get yours Re-Mapped mate and see the differnce,
ive not had mine on a rolling road but id guess its kicking out a good 118 -120bhp may be more,
ive also done some weight reducement,

air con pump -wheelie binned,
cd changer -binned,
spare wheel is in garage replaced with spare wheel in a can,
cat as been removed too 8)

Tyre places hate that foam stuff.

It also only works on minor punctures, for big rips in your sidewall you need the tyre replaced anyway.

The Honda has a spacesaver that looks like something off a 2CV :)

ive never used the Foam stuff so carnt coment on wether its good or not,
if iget a Punc ture il just get the AA to drag it home,

if iwas going on a long run id throw the wheel back in the well but round town idont have it in,
it does have affect on Mpg strangely hence why they brought out Thems stupid space savers,

im not too concerned about the power, ive no intention to start stripping it down to save wheight.
Thats what ive done with the suzuki, i think standard its 800kgs, ive took off the spare wheel, bumper (it wheight saved itself with corrosion), all the carpets, the heater matrix are out for some wheight saving, and its got more power with the bigger engine, should be called the superlagerra now. :cheesy:
On the topic of the ruined 406, i do like them alloys, not in white though but the design, the ones i have look sh*t.

I've never felt a car be any slower with a full shop in the boot, or an extra couple of passengers.
A car with a slow character will feel slow, a quick car will feel fast.
There may be some affect on the MPG, but a couple here and there.

I had a trailer on the back, it does dent performance, but nothing i put in the boot or even my 2 uncles and my da in the car at one time it still pulls like a train.
As for the suzuki, when i got the vitara it was running, i stripped it down, doors, glass, trim, dash, the lot, and it felt lighter, but was still very understeery.

AND IT ALL
SEEMS TO
BE ALIGNED

MAKING YOU
HAVE TO
SCROLL DOWN
A LOT

EVEN ON
A BIG

I remember Kim Basinger. She stood on the balcony and said something like "Wheres my 406?"

Amusing at the time as I had a 486 computer :)

I also remember the "Search for the Hero" M People advert with the man with the 406 saving the girl from getting run over by a tank, and helping some woman give birth etc.
All with an anti-pollution fault.

Truth be told, I always fancied one of those Scorpios for the hell of it.
Big ugly things, rare now!

Bit of white paint and it would look respectable.
