Northern Ireland, you can use it in england.
But personally i prefer the english reg on my car. It has the year in it 02, and USB which is nice for fans of portable memory.

Your USB 02 reg is going to be out of date very shortly.

The USB 03 protocol is starting to ship on OEM PCs.

I brought a Xantia over from England once, and changed the reg in Belfast to hide the age. It looked like a newer car than the 'V' reg was going to let on.

The Alfa GTV had an English reg, 'R' plate. Didn't bother changing it though.

People here don't really pay attention to dates on plates.

Conversely, used to see lots of NI plates over in Scotland. Buses and Coaches loved them as they could buy a 25 year old Bedford, give it a lick of paint and fire an NI plate on and no-one was any the wiser.

Nicknames too, BAZ, DAZ etc. Gary406 has one - GAZ.
TAZ plates would sometimes have a picture of the cartoon character on the plate.
BIG are usually used on tacky pink limos.
OIL go well on oil tankers.
XJI seem to have been reserved for Jag XJ owners
Some Man U fan bought MUI 1 (MU 11) for a record price a few years back
I have a friend who collects Citroens, who is waiting on the current BXZ to roll on to CXZ so he can reregister his Citroen CX :)

that just brings up a list of used peugeots. But to reinforce your point.

some 406s go for more than that.

Honda was a decent price. Does about 20mpg but does drive like a Merc.

The link I linked was a D9 1.8 petrol for £500.

i could easily believe it we dont seem to have a great market for petrols here in NI. My dad said the reason diesel became so popular was because it was so cheap at the border at one time.

now this is a proper bargain:

its not a big cheap petrol that you couldnt run, its a diesel.

That looks a fairly recent model. I would be surprised if that was the actual price.

Either ridiculously high miles, or stolen.

Might be putting the ',' in the wrong place. £27k maybe.

other ones are around £8k and over and that would be cheap. £2.5k is a bargain but its not very detailed, there could be rust or electrical issues as these old s classes were a heap of sh*t the best example of merc dropping the quality levels.

My dad knew someone had an M class V8, couple of years old needed £3500 of repairs

Friends dad used to have older Mercs, a W123 and a mid 80s S class. Used to swear by them. But even he saw the quality of the late 90s-mid 2000s Mercs going downhill, and got himself a 406 executive petrol

I know someone drives a Sprinter minibus, had something like 400k on the clock but had to be scrapped as it was rusting to hell.

BURN THE HERETIC

Actually, the 406 Coupe isn't a sports car, and was never designed to be one. It's a Grand Tourer (Gran Turismo), a car designed for comfortable, luxurious, stylish, long-range cruising. GT coupe cars are typically fairly powerful and have a very sporty look to them.

This kind of puts the 406 Coupe in the same category as the Aston Martin DB9, Jaguar XK, Maserati GranTurismo, Ferrari 456, Mercedes-Benz CL class, etc. Big, luxurious, stylish, powerful cars, geared and tuned to be good for long-distance driving - but still a lot of fun when taken to the track.
2002 (D9) Peugeot 406 Coupe SE, 2.2 litre Petrol. Scarlet Red/Rouge Ecarlate/Rosso Scarlatto. Black Leather interior. SOLD :(
