Don't think the Peugeot badges would look right on this:

Was over the moon when we got it for him as previously, his plate was on the car we gave my Mum as his wasn't new enough for a W plate.

Think he'd approve of that. Looks great when they're parked side by side. It's just a bit of a sickener that I can't get cars like that for myself any more. Loved my E39s & driving that one home from Bagshot reminded me why. :(

thinking of ripping them out and staying with the black rapiers

unless when i go for a drive in a minute they impress me a bit more.

for a start the armrests are a total waist of space. way to high for town driving,
there more for motorway driving i think.

I have the problem of the front of the drivers won't go down
I know it went up, but it won't go back down
Don't know whether it's the switch or something else
Just learnt to live with it, but ideally wants going down

ye dave its not to bad to be honest. i just put them back and lower front a bit and its just a bit to high for me but i will get use to that position in a few days,

i will probably get a set of motors and replace them in the summer time.

next job is fitting the back. sounds easy but it isnt. gotta remove amps on the big peice of MDF and bolt them to new seats

oh and put proper ring terminals on the earth cables and battery terminals. just pushed the wires in for fitting. will do them all properly tuesday,

but overall im really happy with the comfyness of the leather..,,

its gonna be an even bigger nightmare putting center console back in. not looking forward to that with the ecu cable ...

If both of your (Dave & Gary) driver seat switches are knackered, might I suggest that you keep an eye out for a switch from a GTX or SE & see if you can get the wiring with it - have seen a few on Ebay & they seem to come with wires.
That way you'd have the same wiring as the passenger seat whereby you only need the live feed without the ECU & you could recoup a few pennies selling the ECU conversion on.

thats a good idea mate.

i have a 2nd ECU being delivered wednesday . the one i have is all coroded.

i have tried a 2nd switch and seat is doing the same thing

ive also got a drivers seat from a D9 GTX with a switch and 4 motors.

so if the new ecu doesnt work i can try fit a new motor on the bit thats not going up and down /

i think if the new ecu and wires dont work .

i will give this leather interior up as a bad job and put the rapier seats back in ..

its really starting to annoy the living daylights out of me big time

not even thought of were to run this big ecu cable yet, sumhow i have to run it under seat to under center console.

why did i bother
