i used longer bolts. the standard ones do seem a little short for the job..

let us kow if it catches bonnet. mine did but others didnt

i used a large lump hammer and block of wood to knock it down.

gonna take it off in summer and paint it same colour as car..

These strut brace threads seem to be multiplying, they even seem to have similar posts in them. Perhaps I should try sticking them together for tidiness :cheesy:

Why don't you close the multiple thread with a link to the most popular instead?

fitted my strut brace last night at work, and what a difference its made to the handling, feels a lot better

mine came from ade and it had the longer bolts with it aswell, so far its been the best investment in improving the handling

did you have to bend the strut brace to clear the bonnet?

or does the bonnet not hit it ?

it went straight on gaz, mind you half of my underbonnet soundproofing is missing luckily just where the bar runs, if it wasnt i think a few selected whacks with big hammer might have been needed, although im tempted to bend it slightly as the bonnet seems to be up a few mm on the drivers side front corner
