I've been asked by a mate to sell a few bits on ebay

When I do, I always put his telephone number in the advert, and state quite clearly, not to message me, but to ring him up with any questions
The amount of numpties who still message you is ridiculous

The one that got me was the vacuum one.

Dyson is state of the art but Henry, even while sucking up all the rust, will still have a smile on his face, keeping morale up :)

Here's a 406 Coupe V6 D8 with 127k on the clock at a bargain £525, and the guy will consider part-exchange too:

Here's another one with 169k, but the bodywork looks to be in better shape, and has a spoiler. Diablo Red, £799.

Only if you also had a pristine example of the car as a donor vehicle, I suspect.

it just looks like every part is about 10 years past its sell by date.

about them v6 coupes, is 120k much for a v6. What are them v6 engines like reliability wise, are they much different from the PRV v6?

Never had a V6 myself. But if you think about it, a V6 is likely to last longer - you don't have to put the engine under as much stress to achieve the same power output, so there will be less mechanical wear.

I think if you keep the engine well-lubricated with the right oil, and change it every 6 months, you could get it to run for many hundreds of thousands.

And besides, £600-ish is very little money for a whole lot of car. If I had a fair bit more disposable income, I'd maybe buy one of these super-cheap V6 Coupes and spend a few thousand pounds turning it into a proper track racer. With some modifications, I reckon you could get a lot more out of the ES9 J4S lump than the stock 210 HP.

HAHAHAHA! That's not the way it works... You don't buy a V6 without making it sing whenever you can - it's too addictive!

Well there IS that side of it, I guess :cheesy:

But yeah, 120k is "just run in" on a V6. Delivery mileage. As long as the timing belt has been done recently and you make sure there's fresh oil in the sump and new filters on there, you won't have much problem and the car will last. Well, until the last of the oil comes out the ground, anyway.

but is the v6 in the 406 the same as the v6 in the xm, or older pugs. Is the v6 in the c6/407 the same? Its good to know what other cars have the same engine if a donor engine is ever needed.
