Handbrake actuator - 406 HDi 406 Estate V Reg

Changed handbrake shoes but Haynes not clear on how the actuator goes back - is it little prongy bit that slots around the cable nipple; slots bottom up, slots top to bottom or doesn't it matter as long as it's on (this is what I'm hoping for as I have actually done driver side with the slotted prongs fitted from bottom to top, so prong at top of brake nipple)

Sorted - picture on here - it's downwards - b*gger, looks like off again

I've found two different sets of pictures which show it facing down. Oddly enough I remember wondering the same thing when I changed my handbrake cables, I'm not sure how I left them in the end (MOT soon so I'll be looking at them anyway :( )

Btw if you put what your car is in your sig you won't need to write it every time you make a new thread :wink:
