That honda is what 6 months being drove by a chain smoker looks like. Any detailers on here will have a heart attack, as for me it just makes me sad, because i remember the car being as fresh as a daisy when i got it for him.
The toyota sold with the first caller, i suppose you can get the odd prick giving grief, whaever you sell. But what i really really hate with an almighty passion is these arseholes who put not in the titles of the cars they are selling. Just to get more people to stumble across their car when looking for another, it ruins the search facility. But really who wants to see a shitty square eyed vw boraing when your after an audi a4

very nice motor that,

1990 that will go on "classic" insurance too so itll be cheap to insure,
idont know why but ive never liked that shape of merc but iwouidnt mind it to put away with my old merc cossie 190e ,
it be worth a lot more in another few years,

Heres another bargain it may not be pretty but itl be worth summat in the future,
too far away of id buy it and throw it in a dry corner ,

even cheaper. I like the w124 series perhaps because so because it was the first merc i ever encountered and liked it from the beginning. I like the angular styling but its not everyones tastes, if you want a bit more rounded styling the w123 is the car.

The W124 was one of the last properly built Mercs, before the company stopped being ran by engineers and the beancounters took over.

Late 90s -> early 2000s Mercs seem to rust like old Fords

Mercs though are about the only German marque I would think of buying. Big, comfortable, have to be automatic.

Seems to be a couple of 406's on ebay which to me seem excessive

I know this is only £500, but a 12 year old car needing this done with 150k

CAT "C" (SHOWING ON DVLA SYSTEM AS VIC CHECK REQUIRED)

THERE IS DAMAGE TO

FRONT BUMPER
FRONT PANEL
RADIATORS
SMALL BURN MARK ON REAR SEAT
POWER STEERING ( PIPE OR PUMP DAMAGED)
ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHT SHOWING ON DASH
VARIOUS SMALL DINTS/SCRATCHES/SCUFFS AROUND VEHICLE

Image

then this this one a 11 year old car at £595 with 180k on it

front needs extensive work me thinks

1999 D8.5 HDi GLX - Sold :(

2007 Mondingo Zetec - I seek forgiveness :( Bring back my 406

Gumtree is full of isopon engineers with little time.

I bet they would look at a titanic documentary, and say "yip, a bit of isopon and she'll be watertight. If only I had the time."

its always the case, when theres a car for sale on gumtree, 'ack well now its easy to fix but i dont have the time'
no honesty such as:
'in all fairness i think its f*cked but im just trying my luck to see if i get any money for what is evidentally rubbish'

This kind of reminds me of Highlander's saloon - everyone said "sell it as it is" :?

- "Doesn't need much for MOT" - Then MOT it and get more money for it!
- Photos taken at night - Hiding something?
- Needs TLC - Needs scrapping
- "Excellent condition" - Poor condition

Some amount of chancers on the gumtree.

This caught my eye:

http://belfast.gumtree.com/belfast/97/73464697.html

Apart from:

"A COUPLE OF WEE MARKS ON THE BODYWORK BUT GENERALLY V GOOD" ie. The nearside is caved in.

A "cheep cheep" car:

http://belfast.gumtree.com/belfast/16/73464216.html

Dent in boot, ie. an insurance write off.

A ruined 306 diesel

http://belfast.gumtree.com/belfast/98/73463698.html

sell or swap for corsa/saxo/astra/ect

This one did catch my eye if I was a restorer http://belfast.gumtree.com/belfast/14/73447514.html

Yeah, I know, I'm sorry mate. It just seems a bit hypocritical to tell you you chance selling it as it is and then complain when everyone else seems to be doing it.

"some bodywork required" - might be a good op for somebody that has these very parts lying about/access to the right tools.
"Doesn't need much for the mot" - it's a pile of steaming manure.

I actually sold my old KLE500 with the old "not much for an MOT", at the time I was busily getting everything ready and cramming a transit van with all my worldly goods to have time to do it.
