Lower rear mount????

Post by VespaSkin »

Back again.....

Just a quick check before I order - on driverside I have just noticed that a rubber mount, near driveshaft, bolts on to the lower rear of the block and has a rubber centre, has split - is this the rear mount? looks like this ( http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PEUGEOT-206-1-4-1 ... 9129408753 ) but on a V reg 406 2.0 HDi

Any info greatly appreciated - if you have a Haynes for the 2.0HDi 1999 - 2002 it is on page 10.8, picture 10.3 and the bit I'm on about is the rubber where bolt A is highlighted

Cheers

jasper told me yesterday or the day before :? to change the bottom mount you have to remove drivers side drive shaft and take the whol mount off then get a garage to change the bush

that was for my 1,9 td .. it will probably be a similar procedure for the HDi ...

It looks like I could get to it with the car on ramps, new mount in freezer and heating up housing once I cut out the old one with my Dremmel - any views on this - also, is it the rear mount I need to order or steel elastomer or are these the same thing? Its where the bolt for the movement limiter goes through, it joins to the horizontal Y shaped jobby and under/near the driveshaft

Cheers troops
