Hi guys, clutch has just started slipping on my 406, it's not really bad yet and I'm hoping I'll get a bit nearer to the warmer weather before spending and afternoon in the garage but i'll have to do it before long as I use this as my tow barge for my sprint car and it's not going to tow a trailer anywhere as it is.
I've done a few clutches in the past but never one on a 406, any experts out there?
A few tips on problems I might face, shortcuts etc would be gratefully recieved.

on mine the gearbox was a bit of a pain to get out ,
10 months later i have a bad judder when warm
think the fitter used a cheap sh*t recon clutch
so make sure you get a decent one .. and not a recon
another problem was he put to much gearbox oil in once fitted back that made the shaft seals leak
when jacking engine up make sure you undo the left top mount as mine burst
if you have done clutches before you should easy tackle the 1.9 406's

This KB article by jasper5 should give you some good pointers, there's also a V6 version written by mjb in the KB with lots of photos.

good article that, I'm pretty sure the clutch is about done but some times it slips some times it doesn't.
Think it could be the adjusting mech which has reached it's limit as well and keeps adjusting / allowing it to un adjust / adjust, I've had this before on other cars. Access to this seems virtually non existant so I can't see to confirm.
