Re: V6 PROBELMS
OK, Top engine mount (rubber)is completely gone!!!! does anyone know what the actual name for this part is?
it is the drivers side top mount but when i look on line i can only find driver side or passengers side and none of them mention anthing about a top mount. sorry if i sound a bit dumb but not great with engines.
thanks
ben

Re: V6 PROBELMS
Service Pox says R/H engine mount, there's three in total, r/h, l/h and rear, so if you're in GB it's the driver's side you're looking at. Btw there's two and they changed in September 1998
Got your chassis number handy?

Interesting. I thought it was just the torque link that was changed then, but it seems they changed the mount too... On earlier cars it's 181434 (£53) and later it's 181437 (£38). I'm sure that eurocarparts sell just the one part for all 406s for about £25... but if not I'd be tempted to go for the newer (cheaper) part regardless of the car's age as I can't honestly see what would be different (other than the newer part simply being an improved version of the same thing)steve_earwig wrote:Btw there's two and they changed in September 1998
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
