Cant get stereo facia plate to fit grrr
it wont clip in properly at the top, it came with nuts and bolts but cant see how those go on, unless you take the dash apart and do it from behind, but i shouldnt have to do that, it should just clip in shouldnt it? the bottoms in ok just the toop buts that have clips just pop out

Doesn't just clip in, you need to tighten the nuts to hold it in place & yes it is very fiddly & easy to lose the nuts so be careful & don't let go of the nut unless you are certain it is on the stud properly.

I did mine very painfully, scraping all my fingers throught the stereo opening in the panel. Didn't use any tools, just tightened with my fingers.

You could do that with a cable, there's an earthing point right under the radio, I think you can get to it just by removing the ashtray & surround. Check all your speakers are working ok...

all sounds ok, just metal bit on back was hot, but then its running 4 speakers quite loud, in the manual for my headunit it says you install it to a back plate and screw it into dash etc, headunit didnt come with any of the bits that the manual is saying to use, ive just sloted mine in. am i doin something wrong?

So is that exactly what you did then? Pics of what you've done would be more beneficial then we can see if you've gone wrong or not.

I've seen stuff like that in fitting instructions before but I've never found anything like it in the box so I presume it's something extra you need to buy if you need it. Providing the radio's fairly solid in there I wouldn't worry.
