Speaker Upgrade (recommendations?)
Ok guys, I want to upgrade the speakers in my 406. I can sense a couple of them becoming a little arthritic recently. Now its been a while since my Max Power boyracer days, who currently makes a good combination of speakers which would fit the 406? I like to keep everything the same brand were possible. I'm aware of the big brands like Pioneer, Alpine, Sony etc. making quality stuff but quite often there's a less well known brand offering the same performance for a fraction of the price. The front door speakers are first on my list to replace. Any advice?

Re: Speaker Upgrade (recommendations?)
hello country pug,
most speakers are good these days, i tend to stick with JBL because they are a well known brand for good speakers at good value for money as well,
i have infinity speakers which are the same as JBL (same company)
but if brand is no matter to you then any of the brands you know will be much better than them standard rubbish that are fitted in the 406,
you can get direct replacement ones in size, 16cm in the front, 6x9s in the back, the rear are a little tricky to fit tho , ive placed mine on top of the shelf with MDF wood underneith, i will post a pic if you like how it looks with it being on top.

Re: Speaker Upgrade (recommendations?)
Thanks for the link Gary, looks to be a really good site and like you said, very good prices
I've spotted a pair of Alpine's for £26, I'm pretty sure I saw the same speakers in Halfrauds for £45 not all that long ago
Never worry about posting a pic of your parcel shelf, I'll probably be asking your advice again when I get to that stage
