BIG PROBLEM

my 2 amps are getting bad condensation on the outer case ....

any1 know a good way to stop this, my original instinct tells me they are sweating with no air getting to them ..

it is a big problem i need to sort quick , amp will go POP if i turn it on with condensation in

u shouldnt be getting that mate am running 3 amps in my car in the boot and am not getting that any holes or that in ur boot

holes in the floor would stop it i thought, air getting in, or is that wrong ..

check the rubber seals on the boot its just caused my heat and cold mixing together check the sparetyre well also

ha how much power is too much power, with 100000 watts is the aim to be able to hear the radio when your as far away from the car as possible, but on the issue of the condensation get some dehumidifiers, them white crystals are the cheapest good in caravans also, but an elecric one might be better, they do seem to get rid of the moisture, but thats a temporary fix so the seals are worth checking, and them flaps behind the bumper which lets the air out when a door is slammed.

ok cheers mate,

10,000 watts is a lot of power, it cant be RMS power ...

local audio shop here in wigan has the LOUDEST bass demo van in the world, they own the Guiness world record for it
and thats 6000 RMS, the famous K&M van

google K&M van or K&M acoustics, ive been in that van, beleive u me you cant stay in it when they crank it up it seriously hurts your ear drums

i cant sit in my car with the volume at 20 thats meybe just me but what sort of music are you playing that needs such POWER.

nah its not rms lol its peak power but with rms ur tokin about maybe 2500

2 of these runnin on seperate amps
then my speakers all running off a different amp
think its just under 10000watt peak power not sure tho but its really close to that

i wish my car was putting out 6000 watt rms lol thats loud lol

ye, u cant sit in it tho wen they crank it up, i had to climb out, ear drums start to hurt BAD its not safe 8)

in fact my right ear has never been the same since i had a demo in that van, it poped for 5 weeks and wouldnt go back to normal, 8)

i wud defo recommend planet audio big bang subs, my mate has a 15" and its a monster cost him £330 tho just for the sub (no box)

found the cause of my bad condensation in boot,

rear lights letting water in, behind the lights is full of water, :shock:

ye lucky its a d8 really, dont think this suffers that problem,

im gonna remove the lights this week and use a tube of transparent silicone sealant, that should do the trick, (i hope)
