i'm thining of getting a sony CDX-M610 and i would like to know please which adptor/s i need to get the stalk controls and display to work please.
Past car - D9 2.2 SRi estate, sleeper, family wagon & general hauler!
Current car - Ph3 1.8 306

I think you can't get that from sony mate. Have to settle for an aftermarket part (if it's avalable at all) or change to pioneer or clarion. They have such adapters for sure (but not for all clarion models with wired remote)

thinking it would be just a case of plugging it in - OH no, you have to have a £45+ part as well! :evil:

I'm going to find out what signals the steering wheel connector uses and rip apart the Sony remote I have to see if I can work out the wireing.

i'll let you know if I succeed, or blow my head unit up!

just a hint, the magic word is "Resistance". You'll have to measure the resistance that your audio control rod sends to the oem player (for every single function), then you have to know the resistance of a wired sony remote' s functions to make the adapter yourself. Very complicated job if you ask me. Tried making a sony wired remote work with my pioneer head unit and after two days of soldering and measuring i succeeded but the sony remote bugged me and was thrown away somewhere in the garrage....
