Welp, after a fruitless search for a new knob to replace my well worn out one, I stumbled upon a Jon (jonsowman) at a recent meet, who said that you can simply replace the leather rather than the whole knob.
Great! So, bought the leather from here and followed the instructions on the Coupe club. Though, you do get fairly good ones from the seller as well. Took a while to put the "condom" on the knob as it was quite a tight fit. The seller even suggested the use of lubricant, such as olive oil over the knob for an easier fit.
Here are the results.

I also replaced the black reverse lift lever with a silver one as I had one lying about from a while back.
Surprised you would need olive oil as a lubricant it's hardly a
huge knob is it , i did notice it was well worn though so obviously you
play with it a lot

I didn't think you liked it so took it off

Yes he specifically asked us to set up notifications - an e-mail goes out straight away, followed by a text, then a follow-up call, a Fax and lastly a letter delivered by registered post
Seems to work well really.

This reminds me, my knob is starting to wear.
The leather has worn so not sure weather to have a go at refurbishing it myself or buy a new one.
Theres also a chrome surround around the centre of the knob thats peeling, I think I'd have to paint it silver or black.
