Haha ...got you on that one....they're screwed down with a half inch self tapper through the middle! That piece of mdf will break before they come off!

I had considered the possibilty that they may have been screwed down, but concluded that was unlikely due to the use of two bases, which implied a tacit acceptance of their limitations.

It would be churlish to consider the limitations of any screwed fixing in mdf, therefore 10 points it is.

Would it matter? So long as the problem is sorted we can give ourselves another pat on the back for a job well done.

Besides, you're still going to have to explain that test set up gubbins to us whatever happens
