I think I've got a fuelling issue on my exec tubby, seems to be over fuelling on tickover, so burbles, coughs and hunts for a steady rev, but on the road, after 4k on the revs it runs out of puff.
The question is... is the fuel pressure regulator the circular item on the top of the injection rail held in by a clip which also has a vac lead from the throttle body attached? Or is it the 'other' circular cylinder item which the fuel line runs through just above the spark plug 1?
If it is the item on the fuel rail, I tried to remove it today, took the clip off and thought it would just lift out.... nope. It twists in the housing, but won't pop out. Is it just a bit stiff and needs a flat head down the side to pop it out, or is there another way to get it out and service/replace it? Also... does twisting it in the housing break it?

In essence, I just want to know how it works to find out if it is at fault or if I should keep looking?
Thanks in advance
