406 2.2 sri rough running

Had my clutch fail last sat and had it done this week. £380 all in but now I have it back it is running rough and my engine management light is on. It came on the morning of the clutch going.

The car is running rough and spluttery. hesitant especially mid revs. kicking out a bit of smoke too.

Now I did put some redex in the car last week too so not sure if that is causing it.

Anyone know what type of code reader this car takes? Is it coincidence that it runs rough after clutch doing or could the garage have done something? Theot power steering seemed heavier after getting it back too though it could be because I got used to using a C3 for a week with light steering

Brimmed it with shell vpower unleaded today and gave it a good blast. I is all fine now so maybe a bad bit of petrol or water contaminated or something. Very strange as it was fine until the tank got low.

It was spluttering and smoking this morning and I even checked the plugs which were all black and sooty. It was throwing out black wet oily stuff on my hand from the exhaust too.

Now sweet running again so panic over
