Dodgy radio

The sound on my 406 radio is gone. All the other controls on the radio are working fine. There is these letters AF that keep flashing on the radio but havent got a clue what it means.I was thinking of checking the connections at the back of the radio but do not have a clue how to take it out. Can someone out there tell me how I can remove this radio from the console.

There's 4 x holes in the front of the radio and you have to insert a long stick into each all at the same time (someone on here said bar-b-que sticks are good) I used 4 x long thin drill bits I had.

As you insert said 'sticks' you must keep a pressure on them whilst pulling/wiggling the unit out (I pull carefullly at the cassette tape opening with my finger(s).

Your aeriel may have come out at the back? I think "AF" means auto-frequency or, it's trying to find a signal.

Clarions only have two holes. I use two very thin screwdrivers.

I'd check your aerial first - do you have a cd or tape player and if so, are you getting sound from those?

The radio has got cd and tape and I am not getting any sound from them either
