Brake securing clips

Post by D9406 »

Does anybody know what those little clips that secure brake pads are called? They are like a R clip but look like a figure 8. I've seen them referred to as 'Stop Pins' but I'm not sure that's correct and secondly, where can I find some.

Clutch changed @110k, bottom pulley changed, cam belt changed, EGR blanked, cat removed, front springs changed.

There's nothing like that on the front brakes, do you mean this (7) on the rears?

Sorry , I should have made myself clearer. It was just a general question not relating specifically to the 406. They are on my smaller pug, a 206 1.6 16v, rear disc brakes. But yes they do the same thing as an R clip.
