Boost/Black smoke problem solved

Post by xplosiv »

Hi,

One happy 406 owner dropped the car off at the injector Fuel Injection Services to find out why there was no boost, bloke rings me 10mins later, to tell me the vacuum pump for the EGR and waste gate are broken.

What is more fu*cking annoying is that the ECU has logged this as a problem, which the so called Peugeot dealership should have found, when they supposedly checked the ECU for me (for £30 – will be getting my money back)

THE LESSON HERE NEVER TAKE IT TO A PEUGEOT DEALERSHIP (Bunch of half rate mechanics who don’t know there arses from there elbows)

Regards,

Andy

Glad you've found out what's wrong matey.

So you need a new Vac Pump? the Vac pump will also serve the brakes I'm surprised you haven't noticed the brake pedal going hard? (with the lack of full servo assistance)

Just wait till you get your boost back - You WILL be amazed.
