Found report that HDi 110 has a variable vane turbo ?

Found this article, but I'm not convinced it's true ?

I thought variable vane technology only came in recently with the VAG cars?

Be good if it is variable though because that's cool.

No, the 110 doesnt have variable vane control. It has the same turbo as the 90HDi, except a different wastegate actaution method, which uses vacuum to control the wastegate.
The 2.2 HDi certainly does have a variable vane turbo though!!

Its one of those common internet myths, somebody see's it written somewhere and suddenly everybody is stating it as true!!!

That's pretty much as I thought, but you never know it could have been true, it would have given me a bit of Pub - Upmanship down at the Feathers that's all.
