Mp3 adaptor for Clarion PU-2184
I've been toying with the idea of fitting my standard Clarion unit back into the car, however I want to keep my Sony Walkman Mp3 player connected. I have seen ipod adaptor kits which work off the disc changer socket. Is there any device which offers this through an aux lead or preferably walkman connection?

Venturi Mini bluetooth unit is the best thing i have ever used in my car, it does the bluetooth for the phone and sends its sound through fm transmission, and because it has a 3.5mm input you can plug any mp3 player into it and play the music to the radio. Thats the £50 option, the cheaper £1.99 option is to get a casette adaptor which lets you put a tape into the radio and plug it into the earphone jack in the mp3 player its good but it did lack the sound quality of the venturi.

I checked out the Venturi Mini there, never knew such a device existed. It looks like a great piece of kit and I'm very tempted to 'Buy Now'. Does the hands free system work well i.e. can people hear your voice clearly? I ask this as the cig lighter in the 406 is down beside the handbrake and obviously your not speaking directly into the microphone.406executiveHDI wrote:Venturi Mini bluetooth unit is the best thing i have ever used in my car, it does the bluetooth for the phone and sends its sound through fm transmission, and because it has a 3.5mm input you can plug any mp3 player into it and play the music to the radio. The cassette adaptor idea is out as I have a disk player up front. Used one of these in my 106 and like you said, the sound quality was not good.lol

The 406 is ideal for the venturi because the cig socket is in the middle, i have not had any trouble with the other person hearing me, the venturi has some noise canceling feature also, and you can always shout if all else fails, but best of all is the auto connect /disconnect that comes as a result of it being powered through the cig socket. It doesnt support phonebook transfer on the nokia n96 or n86 i know that but it does everything else. I must say though that my first one had absolutley crap plastics that cracked, but venturi sent me a brand new one with no fuss at all and its not gave me any troube at all.
