Last time I was selling a car with a decent sized boot, a ZX estate, I used a Labrador to demonstrate the boot size.

Of course not everybody is chuffed to find dog hair in the boot.

And doesn't really work in a saloon.

Found this article - http://editorial.autos.msn.com/listarti ... &GT1=22028

10th reason not to sell a car - because you don't like the buyer. Had plenty of buyers I wouldn't exactly invite to the pub, but that doesn't stop me selling.
Though I can see why, a lot of Citroen enthusiasts wouldn't sell a CX or an XM to anyone who doesn't have at least an interest in the marque.

Its always good to know your selling your car onto a good buyer. And not someone who will make it look like the 306s here.
That alfa boot is huge, i didnt know alfa drivers carried people in their boot, after watching movies with robert deniro in them i thought big cadilacs were more popular.

Would never have fit anyone in the boot of my old one, not even chopped up

Looks OK, but the fuel tank and battery are behind the rear seats, as wheel as a vertically placed spacesaver wheel.

Leaves the boot with room for about a decent sized briefcase

The 406 boot is one of the most useless things ive ever used.
Its big but completley restricted by the saloon layout.

It's still an impressive size of boot. I always got a huge amount of stuff in it - it's just a matter of packing your boot properly.

"Toe bar"

A "Sabb estate" http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-moto ... t/77398188

I heard a radio ad for gumtree the other day went something like
"We wanted to sell a car" and "I wanted to buy a car for my daughter".

False advertising, should be something like:

"I WNTED 2 OFFLOAD A CAR, NOTBMW,AUDI,FOCUS,FERARI,CITRON,ROLLS,ISETTA, MINT, NOT LIEK USAUL RUBISH, BIT OF ISOPON B GRAND". and "I WNTED 2 BY A CAR, RCKON ITS ONLY WRTH ABOUT £300 BT WILL GIV IT A POLLISH AND SALEING TH NEXT DAY 4 £1500"

Is that advert £2000 for the pair? Not just one, but 2 rare beauties. Decent LXis were a rarity even when I had my Mk2s.

I assumed each.

They look great in the photos, and could be one of those rare Gumtree gems amongst the drivel. (Though you could turn up and they could be rotting and bubbling all over.)

Very rare, even mk3s are hardly seen anymore. Could be a Vauxhall collector. I know a Citroen collector sells his overflow of cars on gumtree, each one is mint / little niggles listed.

Look like English imports. Most of the rare / interesting cars here are English imports.

Gary406 - That red one is an example of the commonly used "Metro" numberplate font that is MOT passable and even used by some dealers.

A Classic example

"FORD MONDAO TURBO DISEL GIHA ESTATE 2002
DRIVING WELL 1.080 MILES
HENCE PRICE "

http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-moto ... o/77460683

I would have thought a car with 1 mile on the clock would have been significantly more expensive than £595!

And I don't have a clue exactly what is for sale in this advert. How did they add 3 doors? What is an SME? I thought it was a small to medium sized enterprise. What shade is drack grey?

"clio dci 2001 mint car mot to sep sme tasty exta added 3 door in black also 02 renault laugana £900

we laugana is 6 speed 1.9dci nice car in drack grey text r ring me"

1.080 miles, im impressed it can measure distance so scientifically.
That renault ad looks like someone is trying to do an ads for free ad in gumtree, ie cram all the info into a short line.

I think you're right lozz. No doubt it'll have the usual Mondeo broken bumpers and rusty arches.

What is it about dumtree that it seems to be cool to not be able to spell?
