I wonder how it would look with just 2 chrome strips, leaving out the middle one?

No I didn't even think to try that, I like it as it is.

I bought 10M of the 3.5mm chrome strip from Sparesworld by the way. 'Twas £16.99. They also do the 7mm wide version for £18.99, but that would have been too wide for the grille bars.

I wasn't too sure when I first saw it, I thought perhaps there was too many strips. But looking at it again, it's growing on me

Have you got chrome roof rails on yours dai? they used to look cool on the 405 estate.

Nah black rails mate, but the idea of silvering them has crossed my mind. One of my mates managed to scratch the hell out of one with a pen knife while cutting through the plastic packaging of a fence panel I was moving for him - I was not happy - TW@!

I think the chrome roof rails look fantastic. I remember a metalic burgandy 405 stdt estate near me with them, it looked a million dollars.

No, that was a totally different "mate"

I don't mind carrying stuff with it, that's what it's there for, just don't like getting it damaged during the process
