stolen from another peugeot forum

Post by trem1 »

Manchester based TV Production company Title Role are looking for a Peugeot 406 from around 1996, P or R registration to use for filming in a crime reconstruction.

If you have a Peugeot that looks similar to a 406 then do give us a call because we are aware that timings are tight and as yet we have few options.

We will need to borrow the car for filming on either the 18th or 19th of November. Filming will take place on location in Ashton-under-Lyne (Greater Manchester) and we will only need the car for a couple of hours.

We will cover all petrol costs and the lovely person who can lend us the car can be an extra in the film!

If you have a Peugeot that fits the criteria that we need but are reluctant to lend it to Title Role for the day then we would be willing to negotiate a small fee for your troubles.

If you think you can help please call Title Role on 0161 236 3471 or email [email protected].

Many thanks in advance.

i seen this on clubpeugeot uk and thought it may be of interest on here as well

Crikey, I don't know if we've got any P/R reg's that'll last for a "couple of hours"

That'll be interesting though, I hope they find someone. I suppose it'll be on Crimewatch then?

Hoi, you upper class D9 driver you.
There are plenty D8s with double your D9s mileage that give their owners less hassle than yours gives you. :P :P

My brother says similar things about his 306 1.9D Turbo.....
'A lot less complicated than an HDi'
'Don't need a computer to fix it'
'Much less to go wrong'
'You can't run it on veg oil'
'Too complicated'
etc....etc....
Even after I towed it home with a sticking fuel shut off valve :cheesy:
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Wow you've actually managed to make the 407 look really ugly in that pic. How'd you manage that? :P

and where's the under-bonnet money shot? :)
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

A 2.2 Petrol eh?

I take it you read up about the HDi's then? :P

My love affair with Diesels is over too! they're too complicated now and are loosing the economy battle in light of the latest petrols IMO.

Did you see Top Gear last night? Jezzer asked "has anyone got a good reason to own a Peugeot?" ...hardly anyone spoke up :frown:

TBH though, 407 aside, looking at the state of the new 308 I think Peugeot need to have a big re-think soon :|
