Hi i managed to fit my bleed valve at the weekend and WOW what a difference. No longer does my pug boost a small amount but now it goes like a bullet.
Obviously you need to be carefull on how much you adjust the boost, i found quarter way was quite sufficient and now it is running at 11psi. It is a COMPLETELY different experience driving it now, it keeps up with the new golf gti's (the ones witht the red i in the GTI) which really suprised the driver lol
it was relatively simple to fit proving you can get access to a ramp. But extreme caution should be used as this little bleed valve could blow your enging! but done right will make you smile from ear to ear.
If anyone needs help on fitting one just ask and i will do the best i can. I found the best way was to fit one to gain the experience.

as my mate found out a few years ago when he lent his escort rs turbo to one of our "thicker" mates , an hour later a phone call to say it was chucking smoke out and would barely run , found out he had turned the bleed valve all the way out and melted a hole in a piston . he later commented how fast it was in those 10 mins before the engine went pop

they can be bad if they are not used properly , but providing you buy a good one that will not open with vibration and you set it using a boost guage you will be fine and trust me you will have a completely different car!
if you decide to come to me i can get you one from my breaker friend for £10 and we can use a ramp at my friends garage to fit it, you could use my boost gauge to test boost and you would need to spend about £8 on some pipe as i mounted mine under the bonnet for easy access
