My old 406 was remapped by Srdan (IQ93 map) which gave nearly 180bhp and zero smoke...
I don't think the 'more smoke, more poke' saying is correct anymore - maybe in the old days...

They smoke because people are cheap and believe what they read on ebay. £9.99 obd tuning plug guaranteed more mpg and power, how could I lose. All they do is use a resistor that tricks the ecu into thinking its cold so it dumps extra fuel in.
