The 'who owns a 406' survey thing; for all members
Made up a poll here for the benefit of the forum and to shed a bit of light onto the current 406 ownership status, hopefully it will bring some interesting results.

Seriously considering ditching the 407 and getting a 1.9 to run on veg.
Doing 30k per year 40p/l at 45MPG compared to 120p/litre as 65MPG comes out at about £100 per month

Current: 407 2.2 HDi 170 & C6 2.7 HDi.
Former: 406 1.9 TD; 406 HDi 90; 407 2.2 160; 307cc 180; 508 HDi 140.

Actively looking for a lower mileage 2.2 estate, (mine's now approaching 182k / still adding 1700-ish miles a month).
....then comes the debate about swapping the 'box.

2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)

Had 2, still miss the second one. Would still love to have a coupe at some point but I fear they're getting to the age where the good ones are too expensive and the cheap ones are too far gone...

I'd also like another.
2.2 coupe or estate, I'm not fussy ;)

Get a toupe then, (unless I've already found 'Dogmobile3' that is).OllieNZ wrote:I'd also like another.

Re: The 'who owns a 406' survey thing; for all members
Me and the wife have one each, 1999 and 2000 2,0 hdi manual estate, They are brilliant, mine has 258000 miles on the clock, just had a round trip to work of 250 miles averaging 57.7mpg, and I dont dawdle along, its getting a bit tired inside and bodywork but hope to be receiving a donor car soon to tidy mine up a bit.

I thought that this was that thread resurrected until I checked the date...Welly wrote:Sorry DDD just noticed you kinda asked this back in 2013, let's call mine a 'refresh'
Can we have an option for "would seriously love another but knows that's not being realistic"?

Estate would be more practical with kids and all but a coupe......Doggy wrote:Get a toupe then, (unless I've already found 'Dogmobile3' that is).OllieNZ wrote:I'd also like another.
