Steve... Your cat reminded me of someone that I used to know
Found pics of a stray cat we had @ our work place.
Had her with us for 3 years

Loved that cat. Had to give her away when I went to the military for 8 moths. Still lives, still majestic AF

Looks like he's recovering well Steve.
Those are some nice lookin kitties Peter.
This is 2 of our 3.

White one is a flame point ragdoll and the other 2 are black and white moggies. The youngest (not in the picture) is not a people cat and only turns up for food and to deliver "presents" usually mice.
Had my first go at laying carpet today, still got all my fingers and the installation passed inspection of 'er indoors so pretty happy with the result.

Two of ours are Siamese - Ragdoll crosses but they look 95% Siamese.

How do they compare behaviour wise to a pure siamese or ragdoll? I believe seal point ragdolls have very similar colouration to siamese but are much fluffier and heavier built.PeterN wrote:Two of ours are Siamese - Ragdoll crosses but they look 95% Siamese.

Re: and today i have mostly been...
That's what I understood but compared with our pedigree Chocolate point that we recently lost these have a similar coat, maybe slightly rougher but not much but they don't have the 'YOWL of the Siamese. They are very affectionate and one follows me around like a dog which our Chocolate point did. The male is quite a hefty cat but we had a Tonkenese that was heftier.
In all I would say they are not very different to the Siamese, the smaller one of the three is supposed to be a Russian blue/moggie cross but she looks like a Siamese too, the smallest one in the picture.

Re: and today i have mostly been...
I've never owned a siamese so have never experienced the yowl. Our ragdoll is very vocal and will follow you around yodelling when he's hungry or wants attention. Even when you're stroking him he'll sit and meow. He's certainly very dog like in his behaviour and I bet he'd be pretty trainable if we tried but he's also pretty stupid and very clumsy.
Re: and today i have mostly been...
Our male is a bit thick, didn't seem to understand the concept of catflaps, the Russian BlueX just went straight through them as though she always had, it took the Siamese/Ragdoll X about 3 weeks.
Ours meow when they see you but its nothing like the ear splitting noise of the pure bred Siamese.

Re: and today i have mostly been...
Thems some lovely mogs
The vast majority of cats I've had all my life have just been dolly mixtures, with the exception of a cat we had when I was a teenager, Sue the persian. Long hair is a complete nuisance, if she wasn't regularly combed she ended up at the vet's being shaved again
They're all different though, they all have their own personalities, no two are the same. And they have all the empathy of vampires, I'm well aware that if we both dropped dead they'd be eating us before the week was out.
Btw Camilla seems to have picked up another virus so she's shut in too ("Why should Charlie get all the attention?"), she was quite poorly Wednesday but, after a few trips to the vet's, she's much improved.

Pah! Least of our worries. We have one small litter tray that's serving 5 cats just now, so it needs cleaning twice a day. Srečko, Billie and Teatime can all go out but, you know, it's too cold, so they'd rather use the litter tray. Or the bathroom carpetWelly wrote:Watch out for little puddles!

There's a lot of them about here, with the addition of a white stripe up their forehead and a white splodge on their back - just like Teatime who probably features in all their ancestries at various points.406Break wrote:Steve... Your cat reminded me of someone that I used to know

That was suggested at the time, by Highlander I think, but before it was removed his dead eye was an evil black. Also, I'd already started calling the old dear next door's one-eyed cat Greebo (who immediately disappeared when she died a couple of years back, guess which family
). Besides,Teatime seems to fit now, as would Lunchtime, Dinnertime and any other mealtime you'd care to imagine...
