Supply of rear top links

Post by Tom2008 »

Hi My mechanic is having dificulty finding OE version of the rear near side top link for MOT on my 1998 406 2.1TD Estate, the link with nut at one end and bush at the other. The part had been an advisory on the last MOT so is now well and truly shot. I put the car in for service and MOT, well before due date, pre Xmas and at that time he advised that the part was on back order with Peugeot. Now its still on back order and MOT is now due! Surely there must be a source somewhere? I can get any part for my 1961 Morris Minor in about 3 days! Does anyone have a source?
On ebay there are any number offered for around £12.00 butl looking at this site these parts are dismissed as poor quality. Thanks :(

There are decent ones on ebay, FAI have always been good quality in my experience.

OE stuff from Peugeot is the same stuff you get from a factor's just in extremely expensive packaging. Try GSF, EUrocarparts, Pugspares etc.

Job jobbed. The local GSF had them on the shelf what they describe as premium for £21 or £13 for the not so. £21 later problem solved. Thanks v much for the advice. :)
