I'm sure my local Tesco was selling a series 4 Samsung LED for £329, their own Tecknika gear looks ok too. You could look up Finlux as well, my 32" from them cost £270 but has stacks of connectivity and a freeview HD tuner built in.

I've got a Samsung LED and it's excellent. Had it 2 years this month and the picture quality still amazes me, I'm convinced that it's better than anything else that I've seen in the shops, except for other Samsung LED panels. It was fekking expensive though, they're a lot cheaper these days  (although to be fair the big ones are still fekking expensive).

What Welly says is true, I too have experienced the exact same product with a different badge but it goes further than that. There aren't that many people making the panels themselves, so there's a good chance that if you're looking at similar models from different brands, they could have exactly the same gubbins inside anyway.

I think were leaning towards the Samsung UE40EH5000,£328.95 on Amazon or £349.99 at Richer Sounds.Richers Sounds do an extended 5 year warranty for £34.95 whereas Amazons 5 year warranty is £79.49 or 3 years at £52.99,do you reckon it's worth getting an extended warranty or just go with Amazon and live with the Samsung 1 year warranty?

We didn't go for one of the Aldi ones in the end as looking at the dimensions it was too tall to fit n the space we had for a tv,i did suggest that i could cut the corner off the mantle piece so it would fit but she wasn't impressed!

 Borrow a jack hammer and tell her you need to dig the floor under it down an inch aswell that should take her focus away from the mantle. :cheesy:
