we just bought a 406 7 seater and are thrilled with our purchase.
One thing however is the clutch! Its very high,so its either just that or its failing!
Anyone experience anything similar?

Is it a diesel as they are a common thing on the hdi engine

I think that goes all 406s with hydraulic clutches, quite a few people have remarked on it but it's normal. Unless the clutch is actually slipping...

My 2.1 with the hydraulic clutch has a pretty high biting point, definitely above halfway. It's always been like that, nothing to worry about

Driven a couple of 406 HDI's and my good ladies 307 and they are all ridiculously high on the bite so nothing to worry about.teddyboy wrote:Is it a diesel as they are a common thing on the hdi engine
I guess it's something you get used to, I however stall the 307 at least once every time I drive it

my 2002 hdi is very high,but never had a problem,i am used to it now after having a laguna before it for years
