Cheap clio for breaking

The small bit of driving we got out of the clio, it didn't last long but there was some fun, and my cousin did learn how to drive, with some cushions to let him see over the dash

FP I think I could see a whiff of white smoke sometimes from under the bonnet, you might want to check the cooling system for leaks......could lead to an expensive repair if you don't keep on top of maintenance

It might have been a bit hot, but it's hard to know exactly when your supposed to stop:

it didnt stop but thanks to the magic of video editing the handbrake turns round the yard happened first but in actual fact we had the car round the field first (which probably was what damaged the radiator)

the wood its a decent pile thats about 3 years worth of heating for the farm
no oil used its very eco friendly sustainable stuff, although a bit more work involved every couple of months we have to chop the wood up so it can go in the boiler, the stuff that cant be chipped is cut with a chainsaw and then split for the fire in the house

It makes the pile here look positively feeble Mind you, for me less the better because guess who'll end up moving it and stacking it

That alpine video is fantastic, the noise the new one makes is like an F1 car, but the old one sounds just as good, its hard to believe that a 50 year old car could keep up with the new one so easily.

The big pile of wood there is a fair bit of work involved, when the wood chipper is hired (its all built on the back of a 40ft lorry trailer) the crane takes the logs off the pile, its a very dangerous thing trying to do it yourself incase they all tumble down. Some big logs won't fit in the mouth of the chipper so they are set to one side, and the wood is then cut up into smaller bits and then we use a hydraulic log splitter (an axe with a hydraulic ram) to chop them into smaller bits for the fire

That wood gas thing looks very good, mad max should have used one of them instead of scrounging about looking for more fuel

I managed to get the gearbox and engine out of the car, no real need to do it but its the first transverse engine I've removed, not too hard but it would have helped to have had a balljoint splitter and an impact wrench to properly remove the driveshafts. All the rubbish parts and an old tv threw into the car and lifted onto the dump trailer, floored the tractor to the scrapyard arriving at 12:55 just before they closed at 1. The car made £102

the steering linkages wouldn't come off with a hammer, and the wiper arm puller broke trying to remove them, one of these looks like they could have removed the ball joint:

and i think i need to replace one of the axle stands it bent when i tried to lift the car with the forklift but the car only slid forward

idunno mate,

ive got afew Ball joint spliters inever use em,
The lump hammer seems to shift them

if its a scrap car ifind the stihl saw or angle grinder makes thing easier

I thought they would make the job a bit more easier than whacking it with a hammer no damaging the threads
