:x Ok now Im totally confused on mon this week I decided to try a nother bottle of k-seal ..because after reading their recommendations I thought I would remove the thermostat and pour directly in thus avoiding the header tank and hopefully getting directly to any problem that may be in the system .....Great i ran the car all week short journeys mostly and with the heater on full to make sure it was fully curculated and Guess what didnt lose a drop ....turned the heater down yesterday ...and ..yep lost all the water again  no water inside cabin but again water loss around header tank ..could the system be over pressurising when the heater is turned down ???? any suggestions ????

This may be a long shot but here goes I was losing water through the header tank ,10 miles and it would spit water ,anyhow when I was looking at the offside front droplink I noticed a water patch on the plastic wheel arch .I took it off and found a hairline crack in the funny shaped metal pipe that costs a bit  sorry I dont know what its called.A packet of Kseal into the header tank and some CT 1 sealer on the outside and I have had no trouble overheating since touch wood.

Put in a strong concentration of brightly coloured coolant (I recommend Halfords Advanced for this) and after a few days have a look for a huge white patch on the radiator. A UV lamp may help...

Hi and thanks for all suggestions I have tried 2x bottles of k-seal and have replaced the thermostat ,the header tank cap ,the water pump and have removed and checked the rad .I have checked the car from top to bottom and back to front the only place that appears to leak water is from the expansion tap .I have ordered a new one of those and will fit this weekend if this doesnt cure it then I think its gonna be head off and do the gasket at the price it is not too bad Im just a bit concerned about some of the procidures the manual say to carry out ...i,e,remove the lower subframe?????
please keep the sugestions coming .
thanks :|
