56hp for about 900kg. Slow, but exiting. Very good and predictable handling even with tires totally worn out.
You could do everything to that car. Last 130000km (up to 330000km) the bonnet was never opened, not even for oil changes.
Sill returned 70mpg (yes, 70), what an awesome car!
We changet it only because the rear shock absorbers were gone, and there was a very big incentive to buying new cars.

They did do a 1.5 XUD, however heres a link to 106owners where a guy is fitting a more interesting 1.9 D-turbo unit into one.
