the cheap stuff? petrol / sh*t

Good stuff depends on the barrels it's been aged in. it's made with sugarcane basically so it's sweeter than a whiskey but can have a very different flavor depending on the barrels (i.e. port, whiskey, bourbon, etc...) thats used to age it.

A few people think it's like a sweeter scotch whiskey. I tend to drink mine either with 1 - 2 ice cubes or straight, the ice will melt diluting the rum in some cases releasing a bit of flavor and softening the drink.

Ron Zacapa Centenario 23 Year Old Rum - very nice rum
Copper color. Sweet, peppery spice and dried tropical fruit aromas. A round, supple entry leads to a glycerous, slightly sweet medium-full body of brown sugar, dried cherries, guava, pineapple, cinnamon, and caramelized roasted nuts. Finishes with a sweet, light molasses and ashy mineral fade. A nice, supple, and surprising sweet aged rum. Should mix brilliantly, or enjoy as an after-dinner sipper.

International Review of Spirits Award: Gold Medal
RATING: 95 points (Exceptional)

Plantation 20th Anniversary Extra Old Aged Rum
Rich copper color. Bold aromas of coconut creme pie and creme brulee follow through on a rich entry to a fruity medium-full body with layers of dried tropical fruits and sweet baking spices. Finishes with a spicy praline, cherry, and toasted coconut fade with spicy cedar and leather underneath. A mildly sweet, very flavorful and appealing aged rum for sipping or fruity cocktails, especially piña coladas.

RATING: 94 points (Exceptional)

one of the better cheapies
Havana Club Añejo 7 Años Rum
Brilliant amber color. Banana blossom, caramelized roasted nuts, earthy sea salt, dried fruit, cigar box, and creamy mocha aromas. A soft, gentle entry leads to a dry-yet-fruity medium body of sweet toffee, sweet tobacco, date, tobacco, and dried cherry flavors. Finishes with a pleasing warm and spice with a touch of rubber sap and minerals. Nice complexity, balance, and finesse.

Well since making the big move out here its now vodka, vodka and vodka all straight up in shots straight from the freezer.

Now back in Blighty shots have a bad reputation as the sort of thing only the students or the "serious about getting drunk" do but here its the norm, so when in Poland do as the Poles and i have to say its working out quite well to date

just remember dont think you can drink like a pole, even the small ones can out drink a rhino

Was playing xbox last night and was setting fastest stage times after 2 beers and 1/3 a bottle of rum... legally it's about 1 beer an hour to remain under the limit

Over here its 0.2g/l , a lot lower than the UK and its not uncommon for the Police to decide to perform morning breathalyser tests on every motorist entering Warsaw on any particular morning, i have been stopped twice in this kind of morning test so far in 10 months, both passed with a reading of zero, thank god.
The BBC wrote:Poles have a three-times higher chance of being killed in a road accident than Swedes for example.

Drink driving is one of the main safety problems on Polish roads.

Poland has an almost zero-tolerance policy towards driving under the influence of drink and drugs, with the legal limit at 0.2g/l.

Offenders face up to two years in prison and loss of their driving licence for up to 10 years.

or if you are asking about how much "I" can drink before i cant drive, then personally i have a zero tolerance policy, it seems the only safe bet here, a night on the lash here means no driving for at least 24 hours :|
