Hiya Dave, Dave here

I'm planning on arranging a meet / driving day around the Brecon Beacons when the weather gets a bit better 8). The plan will be to meet up somewhere pretty for pics, then go for a relaxing, scenic spin in the beautiful countryside  , hopefully incorporating a nice pub lunch :P . We have done one before (where only 4 of us showed up   ).

In the mean time we could do a local meet if you like and if there's enough interest :D . I used to do pub meets with the 4x4 clubs which were quite successful.

Sounds great - a few questions regarding the planned event:

1. I can't do Easter weekend - was this a likely date :?:
2. How much advance notice do you think we'll have :?:
3. Can anyone come, (even if your name isn't Dave) :?:
4. How blistering a pace are you planning to set, (if Puggy's lightweight, fire breathing monster, can't keep up) ?

Appreciate your efforts to set something up, Dai 8)
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

He put both cars up for sale, but the 206CC went first, so the 406 coop is still with us..... for now

1. Easter? not anymore fella  How's late April or May for you?
2. At least a month :D
3. Non-Daves may attend but only if you don't mind being called Dave for the day (it just makes thing easier :? )
4. I'm not some nutter who goes hooning around the Beacons (anymore  ), the pace may be "a little enthusiastic" on some choice bits of road but will never be "excessive" (although there will be the possibilty to get some "air" if you're that way inclined :o ). Several stops will be made to ensure that we all stay together and to give me a chance to get my Canon out   . Mostly we'll just be taking a gentle cruise through some very pretty scenery 8) .

Actually I'm thinking of introducing a "typical" 406 driver's leg of the route where hats, driving gloves and a pipe are mandatory, and we'll all do 20 straight down the middle of the road in a de-restriced area, refusing to let any "bloody hooligans" past  . I think that's a great plan. :?: :?:

PS: Puggy's car couldn't keep up 'cos it was unwell, not because of the pace
