If theres the interest I am sure we could get a stand at rockingham for the French Car Show.
Let me know if there is the interest and Ill get in contact with Mark or Gordon to see what can be done.

Show is Sunday 14th June at Rockingham motor Speedway.
Although the show has been a little poor since moving from Bruntingthorpe it is supposed to be better this year!?!?
As far as I know the 406 coupe club go, but not 406oc.

Urgh. Hundreds of spotty little chavs showing off their baked bean can exhausts on small cars *shudder*
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

Yup,
but unfortunately most car shows now a days are like this, and from my experience, although not as good as it used to be, it is better than the rest, and in general better value for money than others.
Back in 2005 I attended a review meeting which had been put on by the organisers, (mark and Gordan) and from the day we spent throwing ideas around it backed up my thoughts of the show being alot more club and family orientated than the likes of Donny/max pooer and trax etc.
They often have club stands at the show which have as little as 1/2 a dozen cars, which would make it an ideal starting point for a club that may only have a few people who want to be on a stand at a show.
But yeah you are right, as with MOST shows now you get little chavs with ripspeed goodies and in debt more than my mortgage.

I'm not really into showing my car off, what I'm after is meeting up with a few mates from here, having a drive & a quiet beer :)
Roadside repairs with beercans are obligatory!

That's a bit anti social Wiggy. I've heared you're not allowed accross the channel anyway  .

I don't mind doing car shows actually, done a few with the 4X4 club. Not sure a dented 406 is worthy of a show though? I also enjoy the old convoy run and and a pub lunch too
