South Wales Meeting photos (56k warning)

Post by neildavies »

Myself, Dai, Captain Jack and Puggy (only just, you'll find out below) all showed up for the South Wales Driving Day today, all nice fella's. Also, we managed to have a nice selection of 6's, with everything covered, D8, D9, Saloon, estate, coupe and all had different engines.

Puggy blew an intercooler hose 10 minutes before he got to Merthyr, so our stop was to B&Q for some Gaffa Tape to patch up his pipe. Then we got back on the roads, and a very enthusiastic Dai led the way, very enthusiastically! Half hour later and we had to stop and wait for Puggy, only to find out his hose had gone again. This time he patched it up with an old can of Strongbow Super (some hardened campers left it behind). In fairness, you can't really drive 4 Peugeots round for a day and not expect something to go wrong!

Then we were back on the road for some more "catch Dai" games. Here's my photos of the day

Here's the meeting point:

Image

It was at this point that we found out that Puggy lost his hose and Captain lost his bucket and sponge (couldn't resist!!)

Image

Did someone mention this was a day where we could take photos of the cars in nice Welsh scenery!!

Image

Lovely views.........

Image

.......And then I moved back a bit

The only time Dai slowed down (but it was only to let a Sunday driver go, so we could all enjoy the road ahead)

And then we were back where we started

Thanks guys, I really enjoyed myself today and it was good to meet a couple of new sixers...

Unfortunately for Puggy, the day had a bit of a recurring theme...

I believe the AA man commented on the 4 pugs together ... as for mileage you would have
to ask Dai and the others as i had to pull out early to start journey home... the bottom pipe
to the intercooler split Welly ... when i felt it was kinda like it was perishing  but was still
worth it as was a good laugh :D :D by the way welly how many mpg's do you get now you
running on custard  :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy:

Miles? Errrrm about 60 :? We cut the route in half in order to get Puggy back to civilisation in case he needed professional help. Didn't want the RAC man to struggle to find us.

'Twas good fun though. Only thing I was a bit unhappy with was all the Sunday drivers on the roads  . Overtaking in convoy isn't too easy :P
