It came out... I drilled in far too deep without realising it and because I was drilling slightly off centre, one side of the bolt broke before the other. So I unbolted the other bolts and used brute force of the wheel to snap the bolt off. The thread that was left in the hub came out by just using my fingers. Wasn't a horrible job but timing couldn't be worse :( still, at least it happened at home and not 200 miles away.

So how was Pugfest? Anything interesting? When's the next meet planned for? For those that were stranded....

Great day today guys, nice to catch up with you all!

Here's my very poor attempt at videoing Eric's hill climb. Dropped the camera at the 2nd hairpin :frown:

Thanks Jon :cheesy:

I'd say the video's a better effort than my collection of missed cogs, apexes and braking points. :supafrisk:

Are the wheels hung over today? Sounds brutal on the tyres!

Doggy in Tyre-Squeeling hill-climb shocker

I is impressed, I'm guessing it's the kinda thing that looks easy but very easy to f*ck up :(

You could maybe practice through the roadworks on the A14* if the contra-flow is actually wide enough for a 406**

*has T-Shirt from weekend A14/M11-age

**has experience of passing uber-wide Caravan through wobbly contra sections with me doing about 1.5 mph more to 'overtake' without getting nabbed by the Camera's.

It does look like Jon is a bit of a tech-geek and driving Doggy's car with a ' drive a 406 from the passenger seat ' app.........

It was a good day, spent with good people and good weather.

Thanks again to Doggy for his help with the remap, and to RWB for letting me shadow him out of the wilderness using his sat-nav.....
