Lovely jubbley

Hopefully I'll have a reason to Skype the old boy tonight or tomorrow (Croatian banks rarara) so I'll take some notes on his reminiscences. He's got a few I've already heard, like the chocky bar, chucking coins out the window at submarines, Spanish girls, the radio operator getting electrocuted, someone pulling the wrong lever and ejecting all the fuel. In the hanger...

Will have to wait a few days to edit any more photos, my main laptop with Lightroom on it has died...battery ran out and won't charge, it's in for repair, at least 3 days they say ...might be expensive

So did it pass the mission critical arm-rest test?
Close, close indeed. I suspect that de-fapped and remapped to somewhere north of 200 horses, I could get used to it.

I think I read that the gearbox is only rated for 170, which is consistent with anythong more powerful only being available with an auto.

Current: 407 2.2 HDi 170 & C6 2.7 HDi.
Former: 406 1.9 TD; 406 HDi 90; 407 2.2 160; 307cc 180; 508 HDi 140.

I think the limiting factor for the gearbox is supposed to be 370 Nm of torque, however most 2.2 coupes, (& the odd 406 saloon / estate :supafrisk: ), will be exceeding that by a good 10%.
AFAIK no-one's managed to break a gearbox thus far.

Oh bum :( Sorry to hear that mate, no rush on the pics as I talk to the old boy regular. I hope it's not too pricey to fix!

I managed to find my usb lead for my camera and downloaded the pics to Canon Photo Professional, which is very slow and painful to edit with using an XP laptop :frown:

Steve, I uploaded the best of all the photos, I have a few more, but I think these are the best ones.

I hope the colours are correct, this screen isn't a HD display like my other laptop.

I'll upload some of the other photos of the Museum exhibits when I get round to it.

Looks good to me :cheesy: Thankyou very much sir! :cheesy:

I've never actually seen a Lincoln (there's only about 3 still in existence), the windows at the front look kind of... like they need a window box with flowers in it or something
