About 80 for me... but from the other direction.

Can't make up my mind which way to go---there doesn't seem to be an obvious choice.

Google suggests M4 to Swindon then A419 and A417, but I thought I'd go up to Abingdon and get on the A40.

If it takes 45 minutes from Frankley and it'll take me over 2 hours then I should be setting off at about 7.

Alberto got a strut brace from Ade the coupe breaker who was there with boxes full of various paraphernalia, and his coupe that has just 8,000 on the clock  It looks a bit odd---like a museum exhibit---because while the other coupes there had obviously been meticulously cleaned, this one has never got dirty.

Amongst the bits and pieces I noticed a load of COM2000s, all with suspiciously stiff indicator stalks.

Anyway, later in the day it seemed like a good idea to fit Alberto's strut brace using only whatever tools we had available.
Image

(Shortly after this I remembered that I had some WD40.)

Not all of the tools survived. This is what happens when you buy cheap spanners

Image

Finally fitted (ade supplied the longer bolts with the strut brace. They're good 5mm longer.)

And the bonnet closed perfectly  (Maybe it's only D8s that are affected.)
