It is 8) http://en.argeles-sur-mer.com/
Flippineck, that must be 1000 miles. Presumably you're going to do that over a couple of days; do you visit places on the way down and back? What paraphernalia -- warning triangles and breathalysers and whatnot -- do you have to take with you to France now?

It's about 950 miles from home / 770 odd from Calais, one overnight stop each way. I really enjoy the trip - it's what I bought the 406 for, but the first time I've been able to do it properly since I got it. (My last one to Biarritz was in a Xsara HDi 90 estate with wife, teenage son + his mate & 2 dogs. Swore then that next time, I'd have cruise, armrests, elbow room, aircon & enough ooomph to cruise at 130 kph all day). 8)
Nowadays, you need: hi-vis vest, triangle, spare bulbs, 2 breathalysers and all your car docs / licence. Since my bro goes 3-4 times a year, I just borrow most of his kit. :cheesy:
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)
