Rotten luck Alex, we'll have to sort out another meet soon.
We've not done the seaside yet - just a thought.
I lost the locking wheel nut key for my last 406 and had to drill all 4 out.
Ditched the locking bolts on this one during the first month.

Is the locking wheel socket the kind with the 4 flimsy prongs?
Wasn't it 407xjr who had to drill his locking wheel bolts off?
I won't be at Twekesbury tomorrow morning now as I'm meeting another coupe group round Oxford.

Yes, rwb, exactly the same problem.
I started drilling through it but my drill bits are a bit crap so only got as far as drilling with a size 5 drill - needs to go up to 13 before I manage to get to the flange bit. Any tips on drilling this out myself? Or would I just better off going to the garage to do it after a tow?
I got the other 3 locking nuts off without too much hassle, thankfully - and they are staying out!
Then I need to replace the TPMS valves. Funny, how both these items failed because of shite materials used...
Up for a sea-side meet - Weston super Mare anyone!?

Sorry to hear that, Alex!
Sadly, I'm out as well....I have to finish a stupid coolant leak job on a Corsa 1.3 diesel (Fiat engine) bloody thing is like a sieve
I have spent quite a bit of time trying to solve all these leaks, can't get to anything to see properly
I fitted a new heater hose and thermostat housing, thought that was it (after fitting a new water pump the other day)...sadly it still leaked at the passenger's side!
Changed another small pipe (which took 2 hours) and thought I'd fixed it....nah still leaking
Back to the drawing board now, start again tomorrow!!

well remembered Rich, yes it was 407xjr that had to drill 1 bolt out and it took him nearly 8 hours as well. Good luck Alex keep plodding on.

8 hours! Ouch... Well, I'll get a set of decent drill bits and give it a go... Glad I have a full size spare, so can drive on that one for a bit.

Alex, if you extremely brave and or sensible you could try an extreme method of loosening a locking bolt that can't be undone using conventional methods.
I'll PM the details as I wouldn't want this to be found in a Google search.

It's a real shame you're not going to make it either. Best of luck with the cursed Corsa tomorrow.

And I managed to drill out the cause of why I am not there
Went to Halfrauds for replacement bolts but they only had locking ones - never again.
