406 HDI estate parts available

Post by straggler »

Hi all,

I have a silver 406 HDI estate which I'm going to have to scrap. It was meant to be a project car but have run out of time, space and enthusiasm. So before it goes to the crusher I thought I'd flog off a few bits. I have another 406 which is (hopefully) staying on the road so I have dibs on wheels/tyres, bulbs, fuses and other easy to take off bits. Anything else is up for grabs.

I am located in Herefordshire.

Cheers.

Could you please pm me your contact details and the price you are looking for Inc postage.

I was going to attach a photo of the centre console but can't see how to do it here....

Anyway, it looks like it's the same part - centre console divided into three sections. The lowest has the radio, the middle has the heater controls (and a display), the top bit has a screen with a button either side.

Not sure how easy it is to remove this but it's available.

Pretty sure the headlights on my car are different to the ones on the scrapper. I'd be looking for £15 plus postage. If this is ok let me know and I can find out how much it would cost to post.

Cool, thanks.
The display is easy to remove, just pop out the little cover either side of the display and undo the 4 torx screws.
Pull it out and unplug the black connector - it's one that you need to lift a clamp first before unplugging it.

The headlights are only different on phase 1 and phase 2 models ( D8 phase 1 has the indicators on the black rubbing strips - D9 phase 2 has the indicators nearer the top of the wing )

It's a pain to remove, but if you have a flexible socket set then you should be okay. One 10mm bolt in top, one down the side behind the grill, last one is tucked away on the inner wing - this is the tricky one.
