£450 2004 Estate S hdi 90. 90k miles. Mot Dec.
Saw a cracking 406 s Estate 90 hdi in dark blue for sale today. My rapier has done 168k now so had a look. Had it been a 110 I would have snapped it up. Clean car. In Bexhill, East Sussex. Nice guy selling it. Good tyres. No s/h. Drove ok. Saw it on Facebook.

Why bother, 168k is nothing for one of these. Lot's of them have done north of 300k with no issues
At 90k it'll soon need all the same parts replacing that yours will probably have already had.
ie: cambelt / waterpump, aux belt / tensioner / crank shaft pulley, & at 168k I'm guessing the clutch.

90bhp + remap to 120bhp = very good car without DMF without rear discs without intercooler. That's what I'd do, keep it simple.
