52 reg 406 HDi (110) with only 62000 miles!

Post by Tom406 »

Hi, I have my 406 on ebay at the moment but don't seem to be getting much interest, is it just me being impatient or does anyone think its not worth what I'm asking for it?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0634169650

If you could could let me know what you think that would be great.

Thanks,
Tom

Low mileage example, reasonably tidy looking ,

but if i am to be brutally honest I think you are at the top end of the price for the UK market :|

For a saloon on a private sale anyway. Dealer would probably ask for a fair bit more. Sad thing for you is, if your car was an estate with more than twice the miles it would probably sell easier for the same money.

May be worth binning the Ebay classified ad though - don't know of many private sellers that have much luck with them & I'd be willing to bet that 2 of your 3 offers were from chancers offering less than £1000.

Well last january mine cost £2500 with 88k miles on the clock. Although it was an exec out of the dealers. I think your pricing is reasonable, but people sometimes prefer to buy off autotrader, or gumtree or a local paper with a car you want to haggle a bit.
Take it off ebay and put it up on a few other places and see how it sells.

Thanks for all the replies guys, ended up letting it go for £1750 in the end. Had it up in the local papers and admarts etc as well but no interest from them.

Thought it was going to be a walk in the park selling it! Never mind its gone now, thanks for the advice.
