mi16 spares or repairs

Post by darrenwall »

405 mi16 , 1992 j reg . cam belt tensioner has gone so belt has slipped but still starts . excellent runner before that happened . i got no time ,space or money to fix her up and i am gutted to get rid of her but i already bought a cheap car so i got no choice but to get rid now . the mileage is 166,000 , the tax and mot has expired ( it needs a small 10p size hole welded under the sill for the mot ) and it has clean unmarked black leather interior . im looking for about £250 for it but if anyone on here wants it i could come down on the price .

its got air con but it needs regassing , it used to work but slowly started to lose its cold air . my friend got his own air con / refrigeration company and he explained that when you dont use them , the carbon seals in the pumps dry out and lets the gas escape slowly thats why its best to use it often even for a short time

it probably would have been cheaper but i really couldnt be stuck without a car for a couple of weeks due to the kind of shifts i work ( anything from a 4am start to a 1am finish  ) . i was gonna be selling her soon cos the missus wants to learn and the mi16 is far from an ideal learners car and i want to get a discovery or a shogun so something small and temporary suits me fine for now :cheesy:
